Information on the 2024 “Georgian Australian of the Year” Award

Following the tradition established since 2022, the Embassy of Georgia to the Commonwealth of Australia in 2024 awarded the title of “Georgian Australian of the Year” to compatriot Mr. Beka Zakaidze residing in Sydney.

Georgian Embassy awards this title annually to a Georgian residing and active in Australia, for his/her achievements, contribution to diaspora and engagement in the Embassy of Georgia-organized events and activities.

Mr. Beka Zakaidze is a founder and director of Australia registered company “Tamada” which already for years has been main importer to Australia of Georgian wines, other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as of other Georgian agriculture products. Mr. Zakaidze and his company have made immense contribution to promoting Georgian products throughout Australia.
