Information on Ambassador’s meeting with Hon Shayne Neumann MP, the Chair of Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade of the Australian Parliament

On 27 October 2025, H.E. Mr. Beka Dvali, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Commonwealth of Australia held a meeting with Hon Shayne Neumann MP, the Chair of Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade of the Australian Parliament.

The Ambassador of Georgia expressed gratitude to Hon Shayne Neumann for Australia’s firm support towards Georgia’ sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Australian MP was briefed on the security challenges faced by Georgia in the current difficult and turbulent geopolitical environment, including the ongoing occupation of Georgian territories by the Russian Federation.

The conversation also touched upon the bilateral relations of Georgia with Australia and the countries of the Pacific region.
