Information for Citizens Planning to Travel to Georgia
Pursuant to the regulation of the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, individuals with medical needs are permitted to bring into Georgia, for personal use, medications purchased abroad that may contain psychotropic or narcotic substances, provided the quantity does not exceed a 31-day supply. This rule does not apply to substances whose circulation is prohibited under Georgian law.
To import such medications, the individual must submit a set of documents at the customs checkpoint along with a customs declaration, including a medical prescription or physician’s note clearly indicating the individual's identifying information, as well as the name, composition, dosage, and prescribed duration of use of the medication, along with any other relevant medical details.
