INFORMATION ON THE PARTICIPATION OF THE EMBASSY OF GEORGIA IN THE CANBERRA NATIONAL MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL

On February 8, 2025, the Embassy of Georgia in the Commonwealth of Australia participated in the "National Multicultural Festival" held in Canberra. Specifically, in the centre of Canberra, the Embassy ensured the arrangement of an exhibition space about Georgia, featuring informational materials, the screening of films related to Georgia, and various activities.

During the day, among the 170 states and cultural communities represented, thousands of visitors to the festival had the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the cultural heritage, tourism opportunities, folklore, Georgian language, Georgian alphabet and winemaking traditions of Georgia. Throughout the festival, embassy staff and family members responded to numerous questions from visitors to the Georgian exhibition space about Georgia, its culture, and history.

It is noteworthy that the National Multicultural Festival in Canberra has been held annually since 1980 under the auspices of the authorities of Canberra, the capital of the Commonwealth of Australia. The festival's purpose is to raise awareness among Australians about the culture and traditions of various countries and cultural communities residing in Australia.
