Information on Georgian Ambassador's participation in Remembrance Day National Ceremony in Australia

On 10 November 2023, Ambassador of Georgia to the commonwealth of Australia H.E. Mr. Beka Dvali paid respects by laying  a wreath of flowers at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra to the Australians fallen in wars.

On 11 November, Ambassador Dvali, together with the members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Australia, attended the Remembrance Day National Ceremony with the participation of the representatives of Australian Government, Parliament and Judiciary as well as by Australian Defence Force.

It is notable that in November 1997, Australian Governor-General, Sir William Deane, declared 11 November as a Remembrance Day. Since then, Australians observe one minute's silence at 11am on 11 November to remember all those who died or suffered for Australia's causes in all wars and armed conflicts.
