On 10 November 2023, prominent Australian Think Tank  - Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) publication “The Strategist” featured article “The enduring impacts of Russia’s 2008 war on Georgia” by Beqa Bochorishvili, a research fellow at Geocase, a Georgia-based think tank. In the context of current global security challenges, the article reflects on the fact of decades-long Russian hybrid warfare waged against Georgia, including 2008 Russia-Georgia war. The author also touches upon the continued illegal occupation by Russian Federation of Georgian territories - Abkhazia and Tskhinvali Region as well as mentions ethnic cleansing that Georgians have been subjected to throughout the occupied territories.
