INFORMATION ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE SOVIET OCCUPATION
On February 25, 2025 the National Flag of Georgia is flying at half-mast at the premises of the Embassy of Georgia in Canberra to commemorate the tragic occasion of the occupation of the Democratic Republic of Georgia by the Soviet Russia's Red Army on February 25, 1921.
On 25 February we also commemorate all Georgian men and women who fought heroically and fell in combat against the invading Red Army.
