On 6-11 December 2021, in frames of his working visit to the Republic of Fiji, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia, HE Mr. George Dolidze held meetings with the high level officials of Fiji: Acting Prime Minister/Attorney General, Hon. aiyaz Saiyaf Khaiyum; Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts, Hon. Premila Kumar and Acting Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Ms. Esala Nayasi.
At the meetings topics related to deepening bilateral and multilateral cooperation with the Republic of Fiji were broadly discussed. The sides highlighted the importance of commencing the visa free regime and maintaining active cooperation between countries during the Covid-19 pandemic. Special emphasis has been made on the non-recognition policy of Georgia’s occupied regions. Fijian officials, at every level, reiterated their country’s firm support towards Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
While in Fiji Ambassador George Dolidze met colleagues, the Heads of Diplomatic Missions of Australia, New Zealand, France, UK, USA and Tuvalu accredited in Suva as well as with Acting Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum, Dr. Filimon Manoni.
